When I first saw this palette, I knew I had to have it. Too Faced are constantly bringing out gorgeous makeup that I’m never left disappointed with and this palette is no exception. The 16 antioxidant rich shadows are infused with so much cocoa powder, the palette genuinely smells of your favorite sweet treats! This palette retails for around £45, so it’s on the expensive side of fabulous but the scope of these shades will compliment every skin tone and will soon become your new obsession.

The palette actually looks like a chocolate bar, which is such a cute and unique way of packaging the eye shadow- it looks so different to my other palettes. The casing is metal, which gives a solid and secure feel and is ideal for travelling. However, the latch that closes the boxing is magnetic and feels quite loose. Although I do travel with this palette and it is always safe, it is a concern of mine that the magnets are going to pry open once in my luggage.  Overall, this is quite a thick and chunky palette, which I like. It looks and feels totally luxurious.

Once the palette is open, there is a big mirror which makes the application of the shadows simple if you’re on the move. What girl doesn’t want another mirror for the collection? Unlike the traditional shadow casing designs of other palettes, the square shadows give you more product for your money and look like sweet, little chocolates! The two highlight colours (yes, Two Faced have spoiled us with TWO highlight colours), are rectangle and the Chocolate Bar creators have done us a favour and have made it obvious, even for a makeup novice,  what shade to use as your highlight when using varying colour tones and hues. The palette is laid out in a colour scheme, so complimentary colours sit next to each other, which makes the decision of chosen the warmer or cooler highlight much easier and the creation of different looks very quick.

The shadow themselves are all named after our favorite treats- milk chocolate, creme brulee, strawberry bonbon and amaretto…just to name a few. The palette is made of up of a combination of shimmers, mattes and frosted shadows, with the colours ranging from baby pink to a dark fudge colour. Because of the range of shades and finishes in this palette, it makes it so dynamic and ideal if you are on the hunt for a muti-look palette to take you from day to night. The palette also comes with a Glamour Guide, which gives you three look book ideas on how to create a handful of totally original and different eye looks. The shadows are so pigmented and the colour pay off is excellent…As if this palette couldn’t get any better!

I adore this palette, I don’t know how anyone couldn’t! However, if you are still undecided if this palette is right for you, it’s ideal if you want a range of shadow colours, different shadow finishes, a palette which creates both subtle and dramatic looks but also makes it easy to create a multitude of shadow combinations. It’s the essential palette for every beauty junkie and novice alike!
